Fully qualified as a massage therapist, Jane holds three International Therapy Examination Council (ITEC) Diplomas and an Association of Physical & Natural Therapists (APNT) Diploma, and is a member of the APNT, as well as the British Complementary Medicine Association (BCMA). She is also fully insured under Balens insurance services.

After being a chef for 14 years, Jane decided to explore other avenues, namely complementary therapies, and set up Holistic You in 2006, which was rebranded Emerald Massage Therapies in 2014. She discovered just how passionate she was about her chosen field after her first qualification in Swedish massage, and quickly moved onto other courses, such as Reflexology. She realised that she enjoyed being able to offer treatments tackling issues, resulting in a Sports Injury & Massage Diploma.

Jane has a thirst for knowledge and aims to undertake a course every year as part of her professional development. Courses have included those on Myofascial Release and Warm Bamboo Massage. In 2012, she even travelled to Asia to study Thai yoga massage at the renowned Wat Po Thai Massage School.

Jane is able to carry out treatments in the comfort of clients’ homes, she covers Cahir, Clogheen, Ballylooby, Bansha, Cashel, New inn and out to Clonmel.  She will soon have a clinic base so you can relax away from home. So what can you expect during your time with Jane?

“At the start of our first session, there’ll be a 10 to 15-minute consultation where I’ll get to know you, find out about your health, anything I should be aware of, and your preferred areas of focus. I will then use this information to plan your treatment, which I’ll carry out using various techniques drawn from my many courses and workshops. If you’re having a sports massage, I’ll conduct a postural assessment and gait analysis for a truly effective treatment plan.”
